1959 Korina Flying V
Gibson looks to the future and finds truly inspirational design ideas. The breathtaking result of such daring is the new Gibson Flying V. The impressive appearance of this new model would be a real asset to the combo musician with flair for showmanship. The engineers at Gibson have paid the highest attention to details on this instrument. The solid body construction is of the finest Korina. The extra-fast action neck is of matching Korina with the Gibson adjustable truss rod. The rosewood fingerboard has attractive pearl dot inlays. The ABR-1 bridge permits the adjustment of string action and individual string lengths for perfect intonation. For greater guitar playing ease while sitting down, there is the "no slip strip." The twin '57 Classic PAF reissue humbucking pickups are located for contrasting bass and treble response, with separate volume controls and a master tone control. Equipped with a toggle switch to activate either or both pickups. |
